Notes about the Sliding Scale
Why pay more?
I am committed to creating a world where everyone is supported 100% and no one is left out. My sliding scale reflects this, by having those who can pay more cover costs for those who can only pay less. By paying at a higher level, you are helping ensure that this work empowers an economically diverse community of people.
How do I see how much to pay?
I operate on an honor system in which I will support you to see your authentic fee for yourself. I know income level is only one aspect of your financial situation — and that your true capacity to pay may actually be either below or above your suggested tier.
I ask that you pay at the tier that is an investment but not a hardship, factoring in all potential fundraising support.
Your investment reflects the value you are willing to get out of this program. By paying at the level that is a true “stretch” for you you’ll get to see how incredibly capable you are of moving past your familiar worries and doubts… and you will experience the very breakthroughs you seek from this program.
To see your authentic fee, ask yourself the following questions:
What level would be fairly comfortable for me to pay?
What level would be a “stretch” but not a hardship for me to pay — factoring in all potential fundraising support?
What if any concerns do I have about fundraising? Are any of those concerns familiar and/or hindering my success elsewhere? What qualities would I be demonstrating, by going beyond those thoughts and choosing to fundraise anyway?
For the sake of my development and the integrity of the sliding scale system, am I willing to pay at the level that is a stretch but not a hardship — and to fundraise to make it happen?
Inclusivity and diversity
I am committed to serving a diverse group of clients, including POC, LGBTQ people, and people with disabilities. I am always open to feedback as to how I might make my practice more inclusive to everyone.
